A Community That Belongs Together

We live in a world that tells us life is found in carving out more for ourselves because we are the center of the universe. Psalm 16 confronts that directly. The Psalmist has found something better: a life defined not by what he's doing, but by who he belongs to. We belong first to God, and because we belong to God, we belong to his people. This is not something we earn, but something we receive, and that changes how we think about everything.
